To establish services for Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to address significant gaps in services and improve accessibility for older Americans and others in need.
Our Vision.
To improve the health status of residents of Northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to achieve equity with other state residents and assure continuing access to a full regimen of needed services.

Current Objectives
1
Develop needed services for older Americans including medical and in-home care, nutrition services, and peer navigation supports
2
Establish needed behavioral health services to include mental health counseling and substance abuse services including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and treatment for dual diagnoses
3
Address significant gaps in health personnel across the service area to include the training of physicians, dental hygienists , community health workers, peer mentors, substance abuse counselors and others
4
Expand rural transit services for residents of Gogebic, Iron, and Vilas Counties to facilitate a full use of available services
5
Complete health status indicator studies of morbidity and mortality to include opioid and fentanyl deaths, heart disease, cancer, and stroke among other areas
6
Establish a rural training track (or RTT) psychiatric residency program with the University of Wisconsin Medical School and other residency programs to address regional access needs
